Netarhat, often called the 'Queen of Chotanagpur', is Jharkhand's most famous hill station at around 1,070 metres. It is known for cool weather, pine forests and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.

Magnolia Point (sunset point) is linked to a local love story and offers a spectacular view of valleys. Other attractions include Upper and Lower Ghaghri Falls, the Pine Forest and the Netarhat Dam.

We recommend at least one night stay. Our packages include hotel, SUV and local sightseeing along with Lodh Falls and Betla.

Lodh Falls

Lodh Falls, also called Burhaghagh Falls, is the highest waterfall in Jharkhand, dropping about 143 metres (469 ft) from the Burha River. The sound of the water can be heard several kilometres away.

Located in the remote forests of the Latehar district, it is usually combined with a Netarhat trip. The final stretch passes through tribal villages and green valleys.

Travel by SUV is recommended because of the rough last stretch. Carry snacks and water — facilities near the falls are limited.

Is one night enough for Netarhat?

We recommend at least one night so you can see both the sunrise and the sunset. The Netarhat Hill Escape (3 Nights / 4 Days) adds Lodh Falls and Betla National Park.

Can we reach Lodh Falls from Netarhat?

Yes. Lodh Falls is about 60 km from Netarhat. The last stretch is rough, so we use an SUV for this trip.

What is the best time to visit Netarhat?

The best time for Netarhat is October – March.
