Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and also one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, making it one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in India.

The main temple complex has 22 temples. During the holy month of Shravan, lakhs of Kanwariyas walk about 105 km from Sultanganj carrying Ganga water to offer to the Jyotirlinga, filling the town with devotion.

Basukinath Temple in Dumka district is a revered Shiva temple, traditionally visited after Baidyanath Dham. Devotees believe a pilgrimage to Deoghar is complete only after worshipping at Basukinath.

The temple complex has shrines of both Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati facing each other, and becomes very lively during Shravan and Mahashivratri.

It is an easy same-day trip from Deoghar in one of our cars.

Trikut Parvat is a three-peaked hill near Deoghar, linked with Ravana in local legend and home to a Shiva temple.

It is known for its ropeway, one of the highest in Jharkhand, offering great views of the surrounding countryside. Trekking trails and monkeys along the way add to the fun.
